Midori Francis (aka Midori Iwama) is an American actress. She is known for portraying lead role of Lily in romantic comedy television series Dash & Lily created by Joe Tracz. She has also featured in The Sex Lives of College Girls and Grey’s Anatomy and The Birch. Besides television, Midori was also seen in several films including Ocean’s 8, Good Boys and South Mountain.

Midori Francis was born on April 16, 1994 in Lakewood, New Jersey to Japanese- Irish family. She is of Japanese descent on her father’s side and Irish and Italian on her mother’s. She is the daughter of Joanne and Ken Iwama. Her father is chancellor of Indiana University Northwest.
Midori did her high schooling from Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School and later got Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in 2014.

Career
Midori began her career as a theatre artist and performed in few regional plays named Peter and the Starcatcher and Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. She also won Best Actress at the 2016 New York Innovative Theatre Awards in the Off-Broadway play Connected at 59E59 Theaters. Later, she also made television debut with series Younger in 2016.
Midori was seen in TV series Gotham and Divorce as Emma Hsueh and Katie respectively. In 2018, she signed first feature film Ocean’s 8 as April, followed by South Mountain as Emme and Good Boys as Lily. Midori rose to prominence through Dash & Lily of Netflix. The series is based on the young adult novel series Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan.
In 2021, she casted in HBO Max series The Sex Lives of College Girls as Alicia starring alongside Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Reneé Rapp and Alyah Chanelle Scott.
