Aditya Rawal is an Indian writer and actor. He is son of well-known Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal. He is best known for playing role of Sarju in television series Aar Ya Paar. He has worked as an assistant director in the movie OMG- Oh My God!. He is the screenwriter of historical play, The Queen, which staged on Broadway in the United States. Aditya is also the writer of Chinese short film Mailbox which reached the semi-finale of NBCU Short Film Festival.

Aditya Rawal was born on 28 September 1993 in Mumbai, Maharashtra to a Brahmin Hindu family. His father Paresh Rawal is a well-known actor, comedian, and BJP-affiliated congressman while his mother Swaroop Sampat was Miss India 1979 and also a Bollywood actress.

Since second standard, Aditya was actively involved in sports and was the school’s goalkeeper. In 2009, he joined the Mumbai-based football club Kenkre Football Club. He was captain of the Mumbai University Kenkre football club.

Aditya studied at Jamnabai Narsee School, Mumbai, and enrolled in H. R. College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai for a Bachelor of Arts degree. Career

Aditya wrote the historical play The Queen, which was produced at the Theater for the New City in New York. He also wrote the Chinese short film The Mailbox, which was a semi-finalist at the NBCU Short Film Festival. He then wrote scripts for various Indian and American directors. His short films have been screened at various festivals around the world.

Aditya co-authored two of his picture books on children’s rights. He was the producer and director of a documentary called Drama-in-Education. He was also an assistant director of Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar starrer film OMG – Oh My God!.

In 2012, Aditya made her debut in the Bollywood film Ferrari Ki Sawari starring alongside Sherman Joshi and Boman Irani. He played the role of a Gujarati boy in his Bombay Talkies by Vikram Kapadia. In 2019, Aditya was cast alongside actress Shalini Pandey for the lead role in Anurag Kashyap’s film Bamfaad.
