Koushik Roy is an Indian-Bengali actor who predominately works in films and television serials. He is well known for recurring the role of Krishna Sengupta in Star Jalsha’s romantic soap opera serial Bojhena Se Bojhena which is based on Hindi romantic serial Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?. Koushik is the recipient of several awards honored for his mesmerized acting. He has also worked in some Bengali films like Flyover, Bhagshesh, Maati and Ekla Cholo, Proloy.

Koushik Roy was born on 29 January 1992 in Baharampur, West Bengal. After completing studies, he went to Kolkata for taking acting course to become an actor. Koushik Roy tied the knots with Portia Roy. The couple is blessed with a daughter. He is an active member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Career
Television
Koushik Roy made acting debut with TV serial Josh by playing a role of Shabba aired on Sananda TV in 2011. He subsequently casted in several serials like Bodhu Kon Alo Laaglo Chokhe (2012-14) and Ishti Kutum (2014). After a working in this serials, Koushik got popularity for featuring in Star Jalsha’s romantic drama serial Bojhena Se Bojhena where he played a role of Krishna Sengupta. He grabbed Tele Samman Award 2015 in best negative role category for his performance.
In 2015-18, he played male lead role of Somuddroneel Banerjee in Punyi Pukur alongside Monami Ghosh. Koushik played role of Anurup Mallick in Star Jalsha’s soap opera serial Phagun Bou and earned Tele Academy Award 2019 in best negative role category.
Later, Koushik featured alongside with Trina Saha in romantic comedy serial Khorkuto. He played double role as Soujanyo Mukherjee and Dr. Sourin Mukherjee.
Films
Koushik Roy began his film career by Raj Chakraborty’s film Proloy where he played a role of Nikhil in 2013. After then appeared in horror comedy film Goynar Baksho where he played a role of Ram Khilawan with alongside Konkona Sen Sharma and Moushumi Chatterjee in 2013. He then appeared as supportive role in some films like Omnyo Bwosonto, Ekla Cholo, Bhagshesh and WMT 9615. In 2021, Koushik starred alongside with Koel Mullick and Gaurav Chakrabarty as Palash Bose in thriller Bengali film Flyover.
