VJ Thara was born on 10 January 1997 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. After completing her studies in Chennai, she began her career by working as an Anchor at a Kollywood music show named Isaiaruvi, which airs on Kalaignar TV. She then appeared in many modelling and fashion show competitions.
Career
Thara started making comedy videos on a YouTube channel named BehindwoodsTV in 2017-19. In 2020, she got the opportunity to make a debut in the Tamil Television Industry by playing the supporting actress role of Meena on Star Vijay’s serial Anbudan Kushi and in the same year, she also appeared in Zee Tamil’s soap opera Sembaruthi.
Thara again got the opportunity to make her debut in the Kollywood Industry by appearing in Vijay’s action thriller film Master in 2021. She portrayed the role of a student role and received positive reviews from audiences.
In 2023, Thara came limelight for playing the role of Veera Lakshmi in Zee Tamil’s romantic drama serial Anna. In the same year, She grabbed headlines for playing the lead role of Dhanalakshmi in Zee Tamil’s dramatic serial Sandhya Raagam starring Sandhya Jagarlamudi, Antara Swarnakar and Surjith Kumar.
