Hannah Nicolaisen, 24, hails from Houston, Texas and is a graduate of the University of Illinois. Currently residing in Montgomery, Alabama, she performs live music. In addition to receiving her degree in Exercise Science in 2022, Hannah played Division 2 volleyball at the University of Illinois Springfield. She also took part in TEDxUofISpringfield.
She served as a Career Peer Student Mentor while in college. She eventually gave up her job as an IT recruiter, transitioning to a full-time musician. Hannah studied physics, engineering, and mathematics at Cowley College and Cypress Woods High School in Kansas, before transferring to the University of Illinois. She later obtained a master’s degree in psychology.
In 2023, she participated as a contestant in American Idol Season 21, featuring the trio of judges – Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie. She has performed “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” song by Elton John on the audition.
