Ophrah Kablan is a singer and songwriter from Clio, South Carolina. She participated in season 21 of singing reality show American Idol, judged by Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. In addition, she has also won the Laurens Idol.
Who is Ophrah Kablan?
Ophrah was born on June 22, 2003 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She resides in Laurens, South Carolina. At only 17 years old, she has achieved so much and is a source of inspiration to many. Ophrah has been enthralled by music from a young age, having won multiple awards across the United States and beyond. In 2013, she was honored with the Upstate Black Expo’s Gospel Best at just 10 years old.
She made an appearance in an ad aired during the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards in 2020 as part of the NAACP’s Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympic.
In addition to her impressive singing skills, Ophrah also works as a nail artiste. She regularly updates her social media accounts, including stunning pictures of her nail art to share with her followers.
Personal Life
Ophrah was born as a miracle to her mother, who thought she couldn’t have children. Her grandmother prayed for Ophrah to have a “gift she could share with the world” which she found through her singing.
When she was 8-years-old, Kablan took part in Laurens Jr. Idol, performing in 2011. Kablan has been performing in Laurens since then and also won the title of Laurens Idol.
Her mother lovingly calls her a “rainbow baby” and she looks to her grandmother for strength and inspiration.
