Khiyla started her career with a television film 48 Christmas Wishes directed by Marco Deufemia in 2014. She subsequently starred as Trish in popular television series Ponysitters Club (Season 1 and 2) and its two spin off movies like Ponysitters Club: Fun at the Fair and Ponysitters Club: The Big Sleepover. Khiyla was also seen in the dance feature film Work It alongside Jordan Fisher and Sabrina Carpenter produced by Alicia Keys.
Khiyla got immense popularity after playing supporting role of Charlotte in film 13: The Musical alongside actors like Josh Peck, Debra Messing and Eli Golden.
