Story

The serial story revolves around Khushi Dubey who is playing the role of Rukhmini a young woman who dreams of becoming an IPS officer but faces pressure from her middle-class family to get married instead. She reluctantly agrees to an arranged match with Nikhil, but after marriage, Rukhmini realizes her progressive husband and manipulative mother-in-law Uma have very conservative views when it comes to women’s roles.

The show traces Rukhmini’s attempts to continue studying for the IPS exams even as Uma tries to control her like a traditional bahu. This saas-bahu tug-of-war creates an entertaining yet dramatic narrative about the struggles Indian women face in trying to break gender stereotypes and achieve their ambitions despite domestic obligations and patriarchal attitudes.
