Career

He started his acting career with the television show Faster Fene in 1983. Then, he was seen in a mythological drama Mahabharat aired on Doordarshan. In the serial, he played the role of young Sudama.

In his initial career, he worked in various shows such as Hudd Kar Di, Sanjivani – A Medical Boon, Shubh Mangal Savdhan, etc. he subsequently acted in the television show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai opposite Rupa Ganguly. He gained immense popularity from this show. In 2009, he played the role of Rajdip Yagnik in the serial Ghar Ki Baat Hai and was nominated as Best Actor in Comic Role. After that, he worked in the show Sajan Re Jhut Mat Bolo as Apoorv Shah.

Besides, he presented a few shows and received an award for Best Anchor at the Indian Television Academy Awards. In 2013, he was seen in a reality show Nautanki: The Comedy Theatre as a contestant. He hosted Raina Beet Jaye-Jashn in 2016 and India Ke Mast Kalandar in 2018.

In 2017, he appeared in a web series Sarabhai vs Sarabhai Take 2. He also played small roles in some Bollywood movies like My Name is Khan, Firaaq, Holiday, Ghoom, U Me Aur Hum, etc. Apart from this, he dubbed a few Hollywood films in Hindi including Blue Streak, Rush Hour 2, Bad Boys 2, etc.
