Shriya Jha was born on 10 June 1992 in Mussoorie, Dehradun. She has done her schooling from Guru Nanak Fifth Centenary School, Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. After completing her schooling, she pursued her graduation degree from Dehradun University.
Career
Shriya Jha began her career while first appearing in the Telugu movie Gita in 2008. After making a debut in the film industry, She made her debut in the television serial Uttaran in 2008. Besides, Shriya worked in many Bengali and Odia films like Tomar Jonyo, Olot Palot, Luckakali, Shatru Sanghar and many more.
Shriya’s television career began while first playing the lead role of Angana Raichand in the hit TV drama Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga in 2018. The same year, she played the role of Madhavi in Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se. In 2019, Shriya played the role of Chameli in the popular show “Uttaran”. As Chameli, she brought to life the character’s shades of grey with flair. By taking on a variety of roles, Shriya demonstrated her acting range.
She was then cast as Sweety in Nimki Mukhiya, a fun-loving protagonist and sister-in-law to the title character. Her portrayal of Sweety’s positive qualities charmed viewers. When the show was renewed as Nimki Vidhayak in 2019. In 2020, Shriya diversified her acting portfolio further by starring in Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein as Mohana Banerjee. In contrast to her previous roles, she gracefully depicted a quieter but strong character. Later in 2021, Shriya featured in Ziddi Dil Maane Na where she played the role of Barkha Shergill.
