The show, which airs on NBC and has coaches such as Kelly Clarkson, Chance the Rapper, Niall Horan, and Blake Shelton, invites singers from all over the country to come and compete with each other to find the best.

Who is Alex Whalen?

Alex Whalen, a veteran musician, made the journey to the U.S. from London in pursuit of his musical career. He and his spouse have since made their home in Tampa, where he is a frequent entertainer at local beach bars and eateries.

Alex revealed in a 2019 TV interview that him and his wife left London as they were not getting any progress there. Besides, the rain was also a factor in their decision.

Upon moving to Aiken, S.C., Alex’s wife trained horses and he pursued music, identifying his genre as contemporary outlaw country, which draws inspiration from iconic names such as Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash combined with modern acts like Chris Stapleton.

Those who visit his YouTube channel can find various covers of rock-related tracks, including “Wild Horses” by the Rolling Stones and “Wanted Dead or Alive” by Bon Jovi.

Whalen performed Kris Kristofferson’s “Help Me Make It Through the Night” during The Voice Blind Auditions. Shelton was the first Coach to spin his chair for him, with Chance following suit during the song’s climax. Whalen eventually chose to be a part of the last-ever Team Blake after careful deliberation.
